Tug of War between Top Directors

Tuesday, 19 June 2012

Summer has been the test of nerves between Top Heroes like Ramcharan, Junior NTR and Pawan Kalyan. All of the three proved successful to an extent with ‘Rachcha, Dammu’ and ‘Gabbar Singh’ raking huge collections at BO. Completion of this fruitful period brings us into July with a Tug of War to go on between Top Directors.
Yes, we have Rajamouli finally geared up for release of ‘eega’ on July 6 without any further delays. Satisfied with the final output, Jakkanna is ready to attack BO. Next in the list would be one more top director Trivikram Srinivas as his ‘Julaayi’ although planned for July 6th release will now move on to either July second or third weeks. In the queue will be Puri Jagannath and ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ looking for the period of July second or third week. More than heroes associated with these three projects, it’s the names of Top Directors making the July fight more interesting.

Rajamouli’s Eega shifted to July release

Thursday, 31 May 2012

Maverick director Rajamouli’s forthcoming film Eega has been once again postponed to July due to the extensive VFX works. It was supposed to release in the early but now the post-production works are taking much time than the expected and so resulted in the delay in release.
The visual graphical extravaganza casts Nani, Samantha and Sudeep in the lead roles. Sai Korrapati produced the film in Telugu and Tamil versions on Vaarahi Chalana Chitra banner. Suresh Productions is presenting it.  MM Keeravani composed the music and Senthil cranked the camera.
Eega will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada in the month of July.

Jinthatha mannerism was not invented by me: SS Rajamouli

SS Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu is one of the biggest hit movies in Telugu and it has been remade in Tamil as Siruthai, Kannada as Veera Madakari and Bengali as Bikram Singha. Now, it is also coming in Hindi as Rowdy Rathore. Its hit song 'Jinthatha' has also been copied in all these versions. Its dance moves have become very popular in the country.

Talking about the mannerism of the songs, Rajamouli says that it does not belong to either him or Kannan. On his Twitter page, the director wrote, “Vikramarkudu rights were officially acquired by the Hindi producer long back. Jinthatha mannerism was neither invented by me nor Kannan It is Practiced by students of certain colleges in TN. Kannan told me about it and I thought it wud make a nice mannerism for raviteja (sic).”

SS Rajamouli further said, “So Prabhu Master needn't give credit to anyone. but being a gentlemen he called me to invite to the party and said I was the reason for rowdy rathore. And I said it is HIS talent and trackrecord that made RR possible. He is such a gem of person, that any -ve comment on him makes me sad (sic).”

However, all movies of Rajamouli are super-hit at the Box Office. Besides the success, all of them have been remade in other languages of India. The director is currently busy with his next movie Eega, which is a socio-fantasy film and being made in Telugu and Tamil.
